  1. Serveral questions:

    1. Is this operation necessary, "Execute a list of scripts on a specified node" ?
    2. How to backup software modules from Escalator side? How about to record with the version list and configuration files?
    3. "Disable new VNF Instances running on a specified node", how about "Disable new VMs running on a specified node"?

    4. "Migrate the VNFs from node X to node Y", how about "Migrate VM from node X to Node Y"?

    5. In Danube, plans to provide Dashboard or CLI to perform these *Administrative Operations*?
    6. In Danube, Controllers and Compute Nodes both support to be upgraded or downgraded?
    7. In Danube, whether to support the SDN controllers to be upgraded?
    8. How to verify the upgrade result?
  2. Reply to Julien:

    1. I think that the capability of EXECUTING SCRIPTS would bring more flexibilities to Escalator, but it could be an OPTIONAL advanced feature.
    2. BACKUP and RECORD VERSION should be functions implemented by Installers.  Escalator will use these functions provided by the Installer via calling API.
    3. I am not sure if VIM or VNFM will provide this function. So, it depends.
    4. Same as above.
    5. I am afraid that we were not able to implement this feature in Danube release.
    6. At least, we will support upgrading Compute Nodes.
    7. As you know in our plan, we do not touch the scenario w/ SDN.
    8. If no critical error is reported, then it is considered to be a successful upgrade.  Yes, it should be verified by the service user.....
