OVS statistic collectd plugin tests.

Test Environment details:

  • Bare Metal,  Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
  • Kernel version: 4.4.0-43-generic

Repo/branch used:

  • collectd/master

Tests precondition:

OVS version - 2.5.2.

OpenvSwitch configuration:

  • Start ovs: service openvswitch-switch start
  • Add new bridge: ovs-vsctl add-br br0
  • Allow connection to ovsdb-server: ovs-vsctl set-manager ptcp:6640

Ovs_stat configuration:

  • Open collectd config file: vim /install_folder/etc/collectd.conf
  • Uncomment  LoadPlugin "ovs_stat" fields.
  • Set up IP address, port, bridges (Address/port or OVS DB Socket):
    • <Plugin ovs_stats>

        Socket "/var/run/openvswitch/db.sock"
